Our own family’s tea plantation heritage has taught us the value of embracing and nurturing the rich sources given to us by nature. Forty years ago, while travelling the Asian highlands, Waw’s founder stumbled upon what was then still a hidden gem: bamboo forests, the lungs of Asia.
Since then, building our bamboo collections has always been – and continues to be – a cultural and creative journey, bordering on spiritual. Each range has unfolded in close dialogue with the architects, designers and craftsmen with whom we have worked over the years.
Our outdoor collection Nature+ is designed to combine the advantages of bamboo with the latest technology, to create beautiful, durable and sustainable solutions for any outdoor environment.
The latest generation of exterior-grade bamboo not only rivals the beauty of traditional hardwood – it actually outperforms it in terms of durability, stability and ease of use. But perhaps the greatest advantage of bamboo, seen from a larger perspective, is its sustainability.
A sustainable, high-quality choice
While tropical hardwoods become increasingly scarce due to over-exploitation, bamboo is one of the fastest-growing renewable sources in the world, absorbing CO2 in large quantities. In addition, it is harder, stronger and more resilient, easy to maintain, and resistant to moisture, termites, dust, and mould.
The bamboo itself is FSC certified, harvested from the world’s largest bamboo reservoir in China. We make use of all parts of the bamboo, and our factory waste is used to generate our own power. Our mills are ISO 9001:2000 and 14001 certified. Additionally, we work with several world-renowned providers of top-quality coatings that further highlight and preserve our products.

When creating our outdoor Nature+ collection, we imagined a natural extension of our holistic indoor bamboo ranges, with a feel bordering on the ethereal. Nature+ brings a sense of warmth and organic modernism to the outdoors, with its beautiful weathering only adding to its lasting elegance.
A perfect fusion of natural bamboo and technology, Nature+ is a highly durable, eco-friendly series for decking, cladding and fencing – allowing you to enhance any outdoor setting with a fresh, authentic beauty that will last many years.
Nature+ consists of strips of compressed bamboo, subjected to a unique heat treatment with temperatures as high as 200°C – a modern interpretation of age-old methods. Not only does this alter and remove sugar molecules that would otherwise make the bamboo susceptible to fungi and micro-organisms – it also results in extreme density and hardness. This, in turn, means unsurpassed durability, impressive stability and extreme resilience.
A sustainable, high-quality choice
Being an abundantly available, renewable resource that is responsibly grown and harvested, bamboo is a much more eco-friendly choice than hardwood. We use only the best FSC certified Moso bamboo from the world’s largest bamboo reservoir in China. Bamboo grows amazingly fast – up to a metre a day – and even after harvesting it continues to grow, eliminating any need for deforestation.
In short, Nature+ is a high-quality, low-maintenance and sustainable option for any exterior project, from private houses to large commercial projects. And you can count on it to stand the test of time, its boards gradually fading into a beautiful weathered grey while staying straight and stable.
Nature+ Outdoor Bamboo Decking
Graceful, modern aesthetics with an ethereal touch
With its natural elegance and harmonious, ethereal feel, Nature+ Outdoor Bamboo Decking transcends the beauty of traditional decking – while offering many more advantages.
Using the latest generation of exterior-grade, heat-treated bamboo, this range features unsurpassed durability and exceptional dimensional stability. This means extremely resilient outdoor decking that will stay beautiful for many years – no swelling or warping – even when subjected to harsh weather conditions or high levels of foot traffic.
Thanks to a simple clip system, installation is quick and easy – no predrilling required. The boards are slightly convex, enabling water drainage and speedier drying after rain and eliminating the need for a slope. For a truly seamless look, end-matching is an optional feature.

Note: Like all hardwoods, bamboo greys naturally over time, creating an attractive, weathered look. Should you wish to preserve the original colour, treat your decking with an oil coating at least once a year – preferably in spring.
